You Will Love These Air Fryer Green Beans Because…
- The addition of garlic to the beans gives them a hint of aromatic savoriness.
- Air frying the beans gives them a slightly crispy exterior while the interior remains tender.
- Super versatile green beans make the best appetizer, side dish, or healthy snack. Serve with a side of creamy ranch, a tart tzatziki, or a zesty teriyaki.

Ingredients and Variations
Green Beans: Fresh is best, but canned and frozen green beans will work, they just won’t be as firm. Be sure to drain, rinse, and pat dry canned green beans. Frozen green beans will need a few extra minutes to cook. Be sure to trim green beans to the same length before using them.
Seasonings: Simple seasonings like oil, garlic, salt, and pepper balance out the naturally sweet flavor of green beans. Toss green beans in some bold Cajun spices or a kid-friendly everything bagel blend. Sprinkle in some bacon bits, parmesan cheese, sesame seeds, or sliced almonds.
Variations: Make the air fryer do double duty and add mushrooms, pearl onions, sliced zucchini, or water chestnuts.

How to Cook Green Beans in the Air Fryer
- Preheat the air fryer and wash and trim green beans.
- Toss green beans in oil and seasonings.
- Cook as directed. (See recipe below.)

Storing Green Beans
Keep leftover air fryer green beans in a covered container or zippered bag in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. If freezing, place in a single layer on a baking sheet before transferring them to a zippered bag to store for up to one month. Freezing them on a baking sheet first prevents beans from sticking together once transferred to the zippered bag.
Reheat green beans in the air fryer or under the broiler until crisp again. Even frozen green beans can be reheated in the air fryer by adding extra minutes to the cook time.
Use up leftover air fryer green beans in a cozy slow cooker beef stew, add them to a hearty casserole stuffed pepper casserole, or chop them up and add them to a kale quinoa salad.
