Cheese: Choose your cheese! Sharp cheddar has the boldest flavor, but any blend will do. Mozzarella, Monterey Jack, Colby, or a Mexican blend are all great choices.

Buffalo Sauce: Frank’s Red Hot Cayenne sauce is the classic brand used in this recipe, but you can use any brand you like.

Ranch Dressing: My homemade ranch dressing adds a tangy bite to buffalo chicken dip, but you can use blue cheese instead. You can also omit the dressing and double up on the buffalo sauce if you like.

Variations: This recipe is perfect for trying to flavor combinations! Stir in jalapenos, green chilis, crunchy celery or bell peppers, diced ham, or bacon bits.

This Buffalo chicken dip made with a rotisserie chicken and Frank's hot sauce is a delicious cheesy and spicy crowd pleaser.

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • In a medium bowl, combine chicken, cream cheese, hot sauce, dressing, and mozzarella.
  • Add to a 1 quart baking dish and bake for 15 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and stir, making sure the cream cheese is mixed through.
  • Return to the oven, turn the oven up to 375°F, and bake for 7-10 minutes, or until bubbling throughout.
  • Garnish with chopped green onions if desired. Serve with crackers, chips, pretzels, or vegetables.

Notes

Tightly cover leftovers and store in the refrigerator for up to 4 days, or in zip bags in the freezer for up to 2 months.
