This Buffalo chicken dip recipe produces the zestiest, cheesiest dip, just in time for the big game or movie night.
Chicken, two kinds of cheese, and some Franks Red Hot Buffalo sauce are blended and baked into a creamy dip packed with flavor.

- Buffalo wings and buffalo chicken dip are must-haves for parties, picnics, and potlucks.

Ingredients in Buffalo Chicken Dip
Chicken: Use up leftover chicken, canned (and drained) chicken, or a rotisserie chicken. Shred up some post-holiday turkey and make this dip for game day when the gang’s over!
Cheese: Choose your cheese! Sharp cheddar has the boldest flavor, but any blend will do. Mozzarella, Monterey Jack, Colby, or a Mexican blend are all great choices.
Buffalo Sauce: Frank’s Red Hot Cayenne sauce is the classic brand used in this recipe, but you can use any brand you like.
Ranch Dressing: My homemade ranch dressing adds a tangy bite to buffalo chicken dip, but you can use blue cheese instead. You can also omit the dressing and double up on the buffalo sauce if you like.
Variations: This recipe is perfect for trying to flavor combinations! Stir in jalapenos, green chilis, crunchy celery or bell peppers, diced ham, or bacon bits.

How to Make Buffalo Chicken Dip
- Combine all ingredients (except green onions) in a bowl (full recipe below).
- Bake until the dip is smooth and creamy.
- Garnish with green onions and serve as desired.

Delish Dippers to Try
Celery and carrot sticks are perfect scoops for buffalo chicken dip. So are chunks of bell peppers, and cucumber and zucchini rounds. Sturdy tortilla chips and crackers hold up better than potato chips. Make mini sliders by spreading some dip in garlic cheese bombs or smear some on a hunk of no-knead bread.

Storing and Reheating Buffalo Chicken Dip
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Enjoy it chilled or reheat it in the microwave.
- Make Buffalo chicken pinwheels with the leftovers or use it as a spread in a grilled cheese sandwich.
- Freeze dip in zippered bags for up to two months and thaw overnight in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
