The classic party dip that disappears first, this Knorr spinach dip recipe is creamy, crunchy, and perfect to make-ahead!

Why This Knorr Spinach Dip Recipe Always Wins
- Flavor: This dip is creamy and savory, with a bright herb and onion flavor.
- Skill Level: Not many recipes are as easy as this! Simply hollow out a round of sourdough, mix up the dip, chill and let everyone dig in.
- Time Saver: Use frozen chopped spinach and a pre-sliced veggie tray for dipping.
- Serving Suggestions: My favorite dipper combination is sourdough bread cubes plus cucumbers. It also pairs well with crostini and sourdough crackers.

Best Dip Ingredients
- Spinach: Frozen spinach that has been fully thawed is best for this recipe. It is an economical choice that is also a time saver!
- Water Chestnuts: They should be drained well and finely chopped so there is crunch in every bite. Find water chestnuts in small cans in the Asian food section of your local supermarket.
- Base: Sour cream and mayo give spinach dip its velvety texture, which is made even better with delicious Knorr soup mix! If you love extra onion flavor, add a little more chopped green onion at the end.
- Bread: Use a sturdy round loaf of sourdough or pumpernickel. This recipe can also be served in a bowl with a side of chopped bread!
- Variations: Mix in some marinated roasted red peppers, chopped artichoke hearts, minced garlic, and a pinch of red pepper flakes.

How to Make Knorr Spinach Dip
- Mix all the ingredients (except for the bread). Refrigerate.
- Cut the top off the bread and hollow out the loaf (full recipe below).
- Add the dip to the hollowed-out loaf. Serve with chunks of bread and crackers.

Tips For the Perfect Party Dip
- To avoid a watery dip, squeeze spinach harder than you think you need to. I like to squeeze it over the sink and not with a towel.
- Don’t skip time to chill. One hour is good, two hours is better for peak flavor.
- If dip is too thick after chilling, stir in 1 to 2 tablespoons milk, a little at a time. Too thin? Add a few tablespoons of softened cream cheese, then chill again to set.
- Pick a sturdy loaf and leave a thick “wall” so it does not collapse on the platter.
- The dip portion can be made up to 48 hours ahead. Stir right before serving and add to the bread bowl.
- If you don’t plan to serve cold spinach dip in the bread bowl, fill a larger bowl with ice and put a smaller bowl filled with dip on top.

Store it Right
Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. If it separates, stir well before serving. Leftover dip can be spread on sandwiches or wraps, dollop on baked potatoes, or thinned slightly to use as a creamy veggie dressing. Do not freeze because the dairy can separate and turn grainy.

Spinach Dip
Equipment
Ingredients
- 10 ounces frozen chopped spinach defrosted and squeezed out (1 package)
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 8 ounces water chestnuts finely chopped, 1 small can
- 1 package Knorrs vegetable soup mix 40 grams
- 1 green onion chopped
- 1 loaf sourdough bread round (or other shape)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine spinach, sour cream, mayonnaise, water chesnuts, soup mix, and green onion. Refrigerate for about one hour before serving.

- Add dip to the well in the bread. Serve the dip with bread chunks and crackers.
Notes
- Be sure to squeeze out excess moisture from the spinach before adding it to the dip.
- Enhance the flavor by adding ingredients like roasted red peppers, garlic, or artichoke hearts.
- Refrigerate the dip for at least an hour to allow the flavors to meld and thicken.
- Get creative with dippers, such as cucumber slices, carrot sticks, pita wedges, or toasted baguette slices.
- Keep leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
