No matter what the pork recipe always check to make sure that it has reached a safe internal temperature, using a cooking thermometer. The general rule is that it should reach a temperature of 145°F before serving.  

Best Ways to Use Leftovers

There are so many ways to use leftover pork, depending on the cut.

Leftover ham can be tossed in a quiche, added to soups like this split pea and ham soup, and pasta like ham and pea pasta bake.

Shredded pulled pork leftovers are so delicious added to a leftover pulled pork tater tot casserole, salads, sandwiches, or wraps.
