Classic BLT Sandwich
This BLT sandwich recipe combines crispy bacon, fresh lettuce, and ripe tomatoes on toasted bread with a layer of creamy mayo for the perfect bite.

white, whole wheat, sourdough, etc.

lettuce
(romaine, iceberg, or your choice)

mayonnaise

freshly ground black pepper

Instructions
Wash and dry lettuce leaves and slice the tomato into thick slices.
Toast bread if desired. Spread 1 Tablespoon of mayonnaise on one side of each slice of bread.
On two slices of bread, mayonnaise side up, layer each with 2 lettuce leaves then 2 tomato slices. Sprinkle with a little salt and pepper.
Place 4-6 slices of prepared bacon on top of the tomato for each sandwich. Top with the remaining slices of bread, mayonnaise side down.
Press gently to hold together, slice each sandwich in half if desired, and serve immediately.
