Line an 8x8 pan with parchment paper and set aside.
In a medium microwave-safe bowl, add chocolate chips and microwave on high for 30 seconds, and stir. Microwave for another 30 seconds and stir (they won’t be fully melted).
Add sweetened condensed milk and microwave for 30 seconds and stir. Microwave for another 30 seconds and stir. Continue to microwave in 10-second intervals until the chocolate chips are smooth when stirred and the mixture is well combined.
Pour into prepared pan. Spread evenly, tapping the pan on the counter to smooth the top.
Refrigerate for 4 hours or until set.
Use a sharp knife to slice fudge into 1-inch pieces. Enjoy!
Notes
Use a 16-ounce can of vanilla frosting as a substitute for sweetened condensed milk if needed.
Measure the chocolate chips carefully. Too many chocolate chips will result in an overly hard fudge, while too few means the fudge won’t set.
Be careful to not overcook the chocolate chips as they can become hard and clumpy.
