old fashioned oats (rolled oats)

raisins
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F.
In a medium bowl, beat together butter and sugars until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla and mix well.
In a separate bowl combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Stir into the creamed butter mixture and mix until fully combined.
Stir in oats and raisins until evenly distributed in the dough.
Chill dough for 30-60 minutes.
Scoop heaped tablespoonfuls of dough onto an ungreased baking sheet and gently press down the tops of the cookies to flatten slightly.
Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden.
Notes
Oatmeal raisin cookies can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
Add a slice of bread to the container to absorb the moisture.
Once cooled, freeze in an airtight container or a ziptop bag for up to 2 months.
