Using jigger, measure schnapps and pour it into a shot glass*.
Hold the spoon upside down over the glass, with the tip of the spoon level with the schnapps in the shot glass. Very slowly, gently pour the Baileys over the back of the spoon.
Serve and enjoy!
*can be poured into two 1 ounce shot glasses to make two 1 ounce shots.
Notes
If the spoon too high and is not level with the schnapps, the Baileys will not stay in a layer. So keep the spoon level with the schnapps.
The ingredients will mix slightly. Allow it to rest untouched for a few minutes and it should separate a bit, so long as they are not mixed too much upon pouring.
This shot can be mixed, however the fancy way to make the shot is layered.
Garnish the top with a small amount of whipped cream if desired, especially if it is mixed.
