2
cloves
garlic
minced
1
pound
mushrooms
halved or quartered if large
1
Tablespoon
chopped fresh parsley
¼
teaspoon
freshly ground black pepper
or lemon pepper
¼
teaspoon
kosher salt
optional, or to taste
Instructions
In a large skillet on medium high heat, melt butter and garlic.
Add mushrooms and stir to coat. Saute for about 7-10 minutes, stirring every 2-3 minutes, until cooked through.
Sprinkle with parsley, pepper, and salt if using.
Serve immediately or at room temperature.
Notes
If there seems to be a little too much liquid in the pan, move the mushrooms to the side to allow the liquid to evaporate.
Refrigerate leftover sautéed mushrooms in a covered container for up to 4 days.
Serve sauteed mushrooms cold over a salad or reheat quickly in a pan on the stove or in the microwave.
